Psychic Readings for the Gaslamp Quarter

Psychic Experience reads for Gaslamp Quarter visitors from our room at 3927 Twiggs Street in Old Town, about three miles north of Fifth Avenue. Palm readings run $60, tarot $90, and full psychic readings $125. We are open daily from 9am to 9pm, walk-ins included.

We are not on Fifth Avenue. Georgia reads out of the house on Twiggs Street in Old Town, which is a straight shot north of the Gaslamp and a good deal quieter once you are inside.

People come up from downtown for the quiet more than anything. The Gaslamp has readers who work out of storefronts with the door propped open and the street noise coming in behind you. Ours is a room with a table in it. You sit down, we shut the door, and nobody walks past your shoulder while you are in the middle of a sentence.

How do you get here from the Gaslamp Quarter?

The Green Line runs from the Gaslamp Quarter station straight through to Old Town Transit Center. From the platform it is a short walk east toward San Diego Avenue and then over to Twiggs.

Driving is roughly ten minutes on I-5 north outside of rush hour, longer if there is a Padres home game letting out and Harbor Drive is backed up. Street parking on Twiggs is free. It is easy before about 11am and tight on Saturday afternoons when the Old Town State Historic Park lot fills and the overflow spills onto the residential blocks.

Most first-time visitors from downtown start with the palm reading at $60. It is the shortest sit and it tells you fairly quickly whether this is something you want more of.

What happens at the table

You sit across from Georgia. She reads, you talk, and you can stop and ask about anything on the table in front of you.

We do not tell people what is going to happen to them. A reading is a conversation about what is in front of you now and what you are carrying into it. If a card or a line is unclear, we say that instead of dressing it up. Some people find that disappointing. Most find it a relief.

We also offer chakra balancing, spiritual cleansing, meditation classes, and psychic development for people who want to keep going after the first reading. And we read at events, which is what most of the downtown hotel and Convention Center inquiries turn out to be about.

Best times to come up from downtown

Mornings. June and early July mornings especially, when the marine layer is still sitting over Old Town and the street has not woken up yet. We open at 9am and the first two hours are the calmest part of our day.

Comic-Con week is the exception. That whole stretch, downtown empties north in the evenings and our afternoons book solid, so if you are visiting that week come early or call ahead.

Evenings run to 9pm daily, which covers people who want to come by after dinner in the Gaslamp rather than before it.
