What is a spiritual cleansing?
A spiritual cleansing is a seated session aimed at clearing heavy or stuck energy a person is carrying, usually worked through with candle work, salt, and quiet prayer. At Psychic Experience on Twiggs Street in Old Town San Diego, Georgia Adams does this work herself, seven days a week, 9am to 9pm.
People come in off San Diego Avenue after the Old Town crowd thins out, usually late afternoon into evening. Most of them cannot name what is wrong.
They say the house feels off. Or sleep stopped working around March and never came back. Or the same argument keeps repeating with three different people who have never met each other. One woman sat down last month and said only that she had stopped wanting to drive home after work. That is the kind of thing a cleansing is for.
How is a cleansing different from a reading?
A reading is information. A cleansing is work.
In a psychic reading Georgia sits across from you and tells you what she picks up. In a cleansing the point is to move something rather than describe it. Plenty of people book both in one visit, because the reading is what tells you there is something worth clearing in the first place.
Spiritual cleansing vs chakra balancing
| Spiritual cleansing | Chakra balancing | |
|---|---|---|
| Focus | Clearing what you picked up from outside yourself | Settling what is out of order inside you |
| Common reason people book it | A place, a relationship, or a stretch of bad luck that will not lift | Feeling scattered, blocked, or physically heavy with no cause |
| Usually paired with | Psychic reading | Meditation work |
| Price | Quoted at the table | Quoted at the table |
Both are listed on our services page. Neither is a substitute for a doctor, and we say that out loud when it needs saying.
What does it cost?
Our readings carry set prices. Palm reading is $60. Tarot card reading is $90. A psychic reading is $125. A combination reading or a relationship reading is $180, and past life work is $500.
Spiritual cleansing and chakra balancing are not on that fixed list. The scope changes too much person to person. Georgia quotes it at the table, before anything starts, so nobody gets a number sprung on them afterward.
What we will not tell you
We will not promise an outcome. No reader can guarantee what happens next in your life, and we do not claim to predict the future with certainty.
If someone tells you a cleansing will fix your marriage, or that a curse needs three more payments to lift, walk out. That is the oldest routine there is and it has nothing to do with the work.
When people book cleansings
August is quiet. The room runs warm and most of Old Town is tourists doing the historic park loop, not locals dealing with something.
Things pick up when the Santa Ana winds arrive in October, and again in the gray stretch of May and June when the marine layer sits over Point Loma and Mission Hills for weeks. People who have been putting something off tend to finally sit down during those two windows.
If you are coming from outside Old Town, the useful things to know are short:
- The room is at 3927 Twiggs Street, 92110, a short walk from Old Town San Diego State Historic Park.
- Open daily 9am to 9pm, all seven days.
- Georgia works alone, one person at a time, so the last slot of the evening fills first.
If Georgia has already done cleansing work for you, mentioning the service and your neighborhood in a Google review helps more people in Mission Hills, Point Loma, and North Park find the room.
The thing nobody expects is how ordinary the room is. A table, two chairs, a candle. No incense theater. Georgia has never seen the point of dressing it up.
